Let’s get things kicked off by talking about choosing the right type of garden trellis for your home. As you can well imagine there are a numger of factors to consider. Firstly, you may want to think about what type of material you want to use for your trellis. There are 3 categories of substance your trellis can be made of: namely wood, metal or PVC. Understandably, they all have their good points and drawbacks. Let’s take a closer look at each.
The most often seen material is wood and while it can look terrific and really blend in and enhanced your garden’s overall look and feel, unfortunately it’s not the best when it comes to standing up to harsher weather conditions. One way around this is to paint a weatherproof coating on them to improve their durability. There is a large number of vines and plants that look great on these types of trellises. They range from plants such as tomatoes and peas to flowers such as jasmine, morning glories and hydrangeas to name a few.
Contrary to wooden trellises, one made of PVC is made to withstand rainy conditions. However, they can become fragile if left for too long in high temperatures or harsh winter conditions. If you are the more energetic and ambitious type, you can take the do it yourself path and construct one on your own. Otherwise, you can easily purchase one with simple assembly instructions. One thing to keep in mind when installing them is if you have settled on one specific location., a PVC trellis can be foced into the ground and there is no need to bother with the hassle of making a concrete base as is strongly advised with a wooden one.
Metal trellises are by far the most durable and can give a real old world appeal to your garden paradise. There are two main disadvantages of them: Firstly, they tend to be the most pricey of the three. Also, they are the most sensitive to extreme temperatures which can play havoc with your plant life. For example, in really hot weather, the metal gets hot from the sun and can hinder the expansion of your plant life. Likewise, cold weather can further stunt the growth of climbing foral and plant arrangements.
Please feel free to share your good and bad stories with different types of trellises.

I hope this comment complies with your policy. I am looking for metal trellis for my garden as I recently moved to Florida and all I have is an expanse of grass. I look forward to getting good information from your site.
